Creating Web Services with the .NET Framework - Dan Wahlin

  1. XxTrigg3rHappyxX: I've been looking for a simple, straight forward, and easy to follow video like this for days. Thank you so much for posting this, this is exactly what I needed.
  2. Ned jed: Thx a lot for this video, it helped me a lot (I'm learning .net, I used Java so far). But I got one question : When you call for the customer at the end (on the web part), you only use the Name. The service will also send the others data (even if we don't call for it later), am I right ? Just to know about optimisation ^^
  3. krrmtolga: Thanks! Very nice tutorial
  4. Chandan tiwari: Why don't other people explain like you ?? Thank u very much.
  5. Varun R: Hi Dan very nice video thank you soo much
  6. XxTrigg3rHappyxX: I agree with everyone else, this is by far the best tutorial for a web service I've ever see. Thank you!!!
  7. coolandtall: You did more in 24 minutes than most people do in a week.Great video.
  8. InterfaceTT: Sorry, I can't add url to comments, but search msdn for ms735119(v=vs.90).aspx It has tutorials, reference documentation, etc.
  9. SamyCode: One of the best video that I have seen. Complete, even with the consuming example. Awesome.

  15. Mohammed Sabih: awesome....
  16. Gina Davalos: Very nice !!!! I 've been looking for a video like this one... and there's none that explains with detail how to consume a webservice that returns more than one data. IT HELPED ME A LOT !!!
  17. LaIslaGrande 2: you are the best Dan. thx
  18. Rory Mcfarlane: nice tutorial. helped a lot, should add in how to return multiple results :) cuz i'm stuck.
  19. Azam Khan: Thank you! This was very helpful
  20. ModelosPR: A WCF 4.5 video tutorial would be priceless.. There are none right now.
  21. VArsovski10: Cool.. However - if you try doing it with using WCF = how do you do it ?? How do you "consume" a WebMethod (even GET, haven't tried a POST yet) using WCF ?? The intellisense doesn't allow you to use your method, it instead allows you call some type of an asynchronous request with the same name of your method, but it sadly returns void - i.e. - can't get my service method's results back.. So how you do that ?
  22. trinhk: Awesome tutorial. Thanks.
  23. VArsovski10: Thanks a lot.. :)
  24. Nicole Padlan: thank you man! awesome explanation! this is what I really need!

  29. Nightflame: Good tutorial. Thanks!
  30. Andy8422: is anyone else having a problem with the database connection string in the web.config file mine go's strait to catch in the DAL.cs as soon as it hits the line [code] conn = new SqlConnection(cs); [code]
  31. Melak Krimduz: Awsome! I checked other tutorials but most just contains an explanation for the web service itself, not the "client". Thanks for this :)!
  32. Cuneyt Kukrer: Dan, you are the best!!
  33. Valentine Obih: Please, what is the connection string in the web.config for Oracle database?
